Vote for Liberated Muse Arts Group to help us win one of ten small business grants from FedEx, including the $25,000 grand prize.
In 2008, the digital community LiberatedMuse.com was born, founded by Khadijah Ali-Coleman, connecting creatives from around the globe to share, collaborate & fellowship. Hundreds have connected through the online portal, beginning meaningful relationships leading to further creative collaborations and ongoing partnerships. During that time, events such as the Capital Hip Hop Soul Fest, through Liberated Muse Productions, a partnership with Maceo Thomas, were born. The online portal and Liberated Muse Productions lasted until 2012. Due to the success of the online community, Liberated Muse Arts Group was able to provide service to our audience in real-time through continued quality programs.
Why are we deserving of a FedEx Grant? The Liberated Muse brand has produced and co-sponsored dozens of events since 2008, including: *A Creative’s Conversation Series (2012-present) *I’m Every Woman: A SWAN Day Event (2012) *In Her Words (2012, 2013) *A Celebration of Freedom: A Juneteenth Celebration (2011) *Running: AMOK (2010, 2011) The Capital Hip Hop Soul Fest (2008-2010) To Haiti, With Love (2010) and more. The mission of Liberated Muse Arts is to engage audiences through interactive media, and day & evening programming in ways that promote, encourage, and facilitate a forum for art exploration and enjoyment. Our hope is that art is used as a tool for community engagement and support.
